How Do We Pick The Right Diet?

There are a few guidelines we need to follow when picking a diet to lose our baby weight. These are the rule I give my clients to follow when picking out a diet.

1: Can You Function - Can your function properly on the diet you want to start? Will it allow you to live your life, run after your kids, and lose weight without feeling like you are going to pass out? You must be able to function, or you won't lose weight, and you will be miserable!

2: Is It Easy To Follow - Is your new diet easy to follow? Do you have to constantly count this, add that, subtract this? If you cannot understand what you are supposed to do, or it just can't fit into your schedule how can you really lose that baby weight? Make sure you diet is easy to follow, and implement for every meal everyday.

3: Can You Stick With It - Can you stick with your diet for 2, 4, 6, 8 months? It took 9 months to put that weight on, it isn't going to fall off in one month. Your diet should make you feel great, and make your want to stay with it for a year or more. If you don't think you can last 6 months on a diet, don't bother starting it at all. That is how you yo-yo. Don't fall prey to bogus claims. Make a choice you know you can stick with.

Now For The Hard Part

I know what you are thinking....."how much harder can this be....." Like I said above, you have to stick with you diet if you want to lose your baby weight. The hardest part of getting fit, tone, or whatever you call it, is sticking with your plan. Everyone needs a cheat day, which I always recommend, but you need to be focused on your goal.
